Select dropdown possible with first option blank or placeholder?

    Hi Markus,
    thanks to your plugin I could implement a dropdown with several events from a calendar. Now, the dropdown shows by default the first event in the list.
    But my customer wants the first option to be empty or to have a value like “please select”.
    How could this be done?
