Hello @nosilver4u,
Emails that come from Wordfence in regards to alerts and summaries will not come from the address provided in the WordPress > General > Email Address field.
Instead, the alerts and emails come from an address that will look like [email protected], such as what you’ve described.
This is documented in the WordPress wp_mail() function documentation.
It would appear everything is ok as far as where things are being sent from in your case, it sounds as if you may just need to set up a rule for your email service to accept emails from the address which they are sending from.

Glad to hear, and you’re welcome!
Feel free to contact us if anything else comes up.
Have a good day!
Glad to hear!
Thank you. It looks like the SSL issues have been cleared up.
I too see the issue you mentioned on the diagnostics.
Can you please deactivate and then reactivate the plugin and let me know if you see a change?

Hello @ayuno,
I’ll be happy to give you a hand. Could you please send me over a diagnostics report (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Send Report by Email) to wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com with your forum username included in that second field under the email address.
Please respond back here when that’s sent and I’ll take a look and see what might be causing the problem.

Thanks for your patience. You are much better off now that you’re on PHP 7. Can you please send over another diagnostics report so I can see where we stand since the update? As before, (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Send Report by Email) to wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com and please include your username and let me know here when it’s sent over.
I will take a look at it and let you know what I see.

Hello @ziabelle,
Looks like you got it setup just right — you can access it by adding test.php to the end of your domain you provided above (https://www.happypog-deco.fr/test.php)
As you can see, the server is unfortunately running on PHP Version 5.4.45, which is outdated and no longer supported. The good news is you can show that page (either screenshot it or give the link) to your hosting provider and it will prove to them you need to be updated to a newer version of PHP.
If you get updated and still have any issues, please feel free to let me know!

Hi @ziabelle
Can I get you to create a test.php file in the root of your WordPress site directory (it’s the directory that has the index.php file in it) with just a single line
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
After you create that file, browse to it in your web browser and screenshot the information you see at the top and send it to scottm at wordfence dot com — It will show the PHP version running on your WordPress.
This will be a big help
Thanks
-ScottGreat! Good luck with the update, @ziabelle
Hello @revived,
If you currently have the Email Summary option enabled, and are simply changing it from Once a Week to Once a Month, the schedule change will take effect at the time the next sending occurs.
In most cases you would begin seeing the summary around that same time each month then going forward.

I looked over your diagnostics in the email and it looks like you need to update your current version of PHP. You’re currently out of date and updating will likely take care of the SSL version issue as well.
So to move forward, I recommend getting in contact with your web host and updating your PHP to version 7 or above.
And of course, feel free to let me know how things look afterwards!

Hi @ziabelle,
Thanks for the information!
If you don’t mind, could I get you to please send me a diagnostics report (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Send Report by Email) to wftest at wordfence dot com and if you could please include your username in the forum username box for me. I will look over your current PHP, cURL, and SSL versions and let you know the best course moving forward.
Often the solution here will be to have your webhost upgrade your PHP version to PHP 7, which will increase your performance and likely solve the OpenSSL issue as well. Let me know here when you have that sent over and I’ll take a look!

Hello @ziabelle,
Sorry to hear about the error you received.
First we should check and make sure you have a good connection to Wordfence. To do this, open the Wordfence plugin and click Tools, then click the Diagnostics tab at the top. Look then for the Connectivity tab which you can click to expand and see what your current connectivity status is.
The first 3 entries should been marked green if you are connected to the Wordfence servers properly. Let me know if you’re seeing any red there.

choisir,
Sorry to hear. Is the “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” box below the reply form clicked, or the Subscribe button on the right side? Both of those would send you an email each time someone responds to this specific topic.
Hello @yuxer
If this issue is still persisting, could you please provide us with some more information on your current setup? Ideally, if you could create a test.php file in the root of your site directory with a single line
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
, that would be very helpful. When you visit that page you should see the PHP version at the top left and a bunch of configuration information below.
Save the contents of that page as a PDF file (If you’re in Chrome, you can right click while viewing the page, click Print, and then change the destination to “Save as PDF”.) You can email that PDF file to
wftest at wordfence dot com
, and please include your username in the email. Please let me know here when you get that sent. We’ll be happy to look over your configuration and help you get this fixed.
