OK I figured this out!

There are separate widget areas in this theme for the “main sidebar,” “single page sidebar” and “category page sidebar.” Basically you need to duplicate the same widgets on each of these if you want them to show up the same on each page type.

I am having the same issue. Both the left and right sidebars show up fine on my homepage and on my WordPress “pages.” My “posts,” however, only show the left sidebar.

Under Customize – Layout I have “Left menu & right sidebar” selected. I’ve changed this and similarly when “Left sidebar & right menu” is selected the sidebar without the menu (left in the second case) doesn’t show up.

Is there a fix for this?

I’m a CSS novice as well and want to remove the attachment area. Which BadgeOS plugin file do I need to edit to add or change the line you suggested, Michael?

You change the settings in the left sidebar when you’re logged into your dashboard. Look below ADS and find settings. The other choices are “manage” and “add/edit.” That’s where you specify available options.

Same problem here, I’m glad to get confirmation this is a WordPress issue… I wonder if having a database which has been progressively upgraded over the years is a factor?

Any workarounds? I’m wondering if installing and using an older, pre 3.0 WP locally would permit an export? 3.0 added the ability to specify date intervals, however.

Why wouldn’t you recommend using a subdomain, Phil? I use subdomains for three different wordpress blogs off my main blog site and it has been working great for me. This provides an easy URL to share with others which I think looks more professional than having people type a subdirectory. Example blogs I have configured with subdomains include Learning Signs, Eyes Right, and Talking Science.

In response to the question about how to show posts on the blog on your website homepage, you can do this with an RSS to Javascript service. I do this on my personal homepage to show my last five posts. I would be interested to know other ways to do this as well. If you are using a content management system like Drupal you may be able to use a module to insert the recent posts. Try a google search for “RSS widget.” This is an example from Widgetbox.

Phil, rather than offering to answer this question over the phone it would be more helpful if you answered it in the forum. That way anyone else who is browsing here can also see the answers you suggest.

In terms of posting to your WordPress blog from a mobile device, WordPress now has an iPhone application which I have used and works well.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I also use Ecto and would like emails sent out from Ecto posts, as they are when I use the web admin interface. Thanks.
