Thanks for the follow-up. Glad to hear you have it figured out!
Hi,
Please send me the diagnostics from your server and I’ll see if there are any clues. Go to Diagnostics->Send Report by Email. Change the email to brian before @wordfence.com and it will send directly to me
Thanks,
BrianHi,
If options are not saving there could be a conflict with another plugin. Please try disabling all 3rd party plugins except for Wordfence. Then try to save options again. If it works normally, try enabling plugins one at a time until the conflict is found.
Hope that helps,
BrianHi,
I have a few questions to help get you an answer. Is this a new install of Wordfence? If not, were email notifications working at some point? What version of Wordfence and WordPress are you running?
Thanks!
BrianHi,
If WordPress is asking you for FTP creds when trying to install themes or plugins, that means that WordPress does not have the necessary permissions to write to the underlying file system of your server. Here’s a good post that explains what could be going on:

Hope that helps point you in the right direction.
-BrianYou’re welcome. Glad to here you are updated!
Hi,
Can your hosting provider confirm that you have the correct permissions? If not, you can try removing Wordfence entirely and then installing version 6.1.10.

Hi,
Try the steps to regain access to your site found here:
https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Help!_I_locked_myself_out_and_can%27t_get_back_in._What_can_I_do%3F
If you’re still having an issue after trying, please open a new thread so we can work with you on the issue.
Thanks,
BrianHi,
Here’s how to manually delete your installation of Wordfence. FTP to your site and delete the Wordfence plugins directory. Then install Wordfence Assistant and use it to delete your Wordfence table data. Then uninstall Wordfence Assistant. At this point, Wordfence will totally be removed and you can reinstall the latest version.

Hi,
Will you describe a little more what you are trying to do. Are you changing the site to a new domain name?
Thanks!
BrianHi,
You’ve tried the following steps to remove Wordfence?
Make sure you choose: “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation?”

Hi,
Block the IP on the Live Traffic page and then go to the Blocked IP’s page. On the Blocked IP’s page you can set the IP block to permanent.

Hi,
We’ve seen issues with other plugins that are not updated for the latest version of WordPress interfering with Wordfence saving. Try disabling all of your plugins except for Wordfence. Are you able to save? If so, enable one plugin at a time to figure out the plugin that is causing the issue.
Let us know if you’re still having an issue after troubleshooting.

Hi,
Try the setting suggested here:
https://docs.wordfence.com/en/My_scans_don%27t_finish._What_would_cause_that%3F
If you are still having an issue, please post back and we can investigate further.

In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] URLSHi,
Wordfence can block IP address ranges. Do a WHOIS lookup on an IP address and find out which IP range the domain belongs to. Once you know that you can use the advanced block to block that IP address range. You should be able to do this by clicking from the Live Traffic to WHOIS to blocking.
Hope that helps!
