I’m not talking about changing the username, I’m pointing out that when looking at the activity log, and I’m trying to see which user did a certain activity, the log shows the user’s nickname, rather than showing the user’s username. Even though the column is labeled Metadata, and the metadata displayed shows the words “username:” followed by NOT the username but the nickname.. this is confusing, if it’s going to display the nickname, it should say “nickname: ” If I could upload a screenshot here I would, and things would be easier to explain.
According to https://time.ly/calendar-features-pricing-table/ there are 3 pland, none of them show the cost as “free”… can you clarify how you create a free account to use this plugin? Others are saying you need to pay to get it working…

In reply to: Can’t view Dashboard in local clone of local sitethe database username and password are only used in wp-config.php. The username and password you use at the wp-login.php page with a browser is a different one, set from within the “users” screen inside the wordpress admin screens.
Thanks for the suggestion @demian85 , though I do have all the xml rpc stuff disabled.
This was truly a workaround to gaining access to the login screen even if hidden backend is set. Ithemes was able to recreate the issue and they currently have released a fix in the paid version, and the free version fix is coming soon they said:

Hi,
We released 5.9.3 in the Pro version to address this. I’ll be sure to update you when we release the free version as well.
Thanks,
Gerroald

In reply to: Can’t view Dashboard in local clone of local siteI’m not sure how to help without more screenshots showing actual urls, etc, but some things that may help you approach this differently: Try Local By Flywheel (I have no affiliation with them, I’ve just used it a couple of times and it seems to work). The tool creates a local virtual machine (instead of what you’re doing with MAMP), and allows you to clone a live site to local.
Another option is to use a backup tool like Updraft. That I use a lot for backups and occasionally to clone a site (to get true cloning to work where the cloned site has a different url than the source site you have to pay for it though)
Hope these suggestions help.

That update worked, thank you!!
Thank you ??
same problem here… I’m using an Elegant Themes based theme, so I can’t directly change the shortcode being used… saw that 4.2.1 is supposed to restore backwards compatibility but not happening for me. using Paypal based shipping checkbox.

In reply to: [Redirect List] redirecting and keeping query values and parametersok, thanks for getting back to me… that’s what I suspected! That feature would be an awesome addition to the plugin though!
I checked the source of my homepage and a couple other pages and found no login link exposed. Also, I do not allow users to register or login. I’m trying to do all I can to keep it secure, and I haven’t had this situation on any other sites where I installed the plugin, that’s why it was so curious…
Still very odd that someone has found out my hidden backend without being blocked by 404 errors. But I will mark resolved.
I’ve changed my backend url now and I’ll post back if it happens again.
This is a great plugin by the way. I had written something outside of wordpress that hid the login php page via the filesystem with PHP, but this plugin provides that plus so much more! Thank you!
