So… This doesn’t work, either, huh.

I generally don’t complain much. I invest time into using tutorials and any online tools I can find to solve a problem before I reach out to tech or forum support. With WordPress and Gutenverse, my experience over the past three days has been completely negative. When I save anything I’ve done, the result in View isn’t even close to what I intend. I’m looking always at the desktop view, so it hasn’t been altered to accommodate responsive screen size.

I appreciate Pradyna at least responding, but I simply ended up repeating what I had said in my initial question.

Is there anyone who might shed a little light on any of this?

I’ve got a background in HTML/CSS and some JavaScript; I’m not without experience. I’ve spent the last hour and a half simply replacing text and images within the Restance template. When I make a change, I save. When I go to view the site, the change is either not there at all or is positioned somewhere else on the page! What I do in the editor and what shows as the saved result NEVER match. I can’t just keep wasting time!

If anyone can offer any solution that makes sense, I’m eternally grateful.

Yes, that’s the one I’m trying to replace. I’ve accessed the Block and found that side bar where the Background Image is shown with the option to replace it. When I do so, though, it doesn’t change. The image I want to use is uploaded and accessible.

Related Issue: On the primary WordPress page, in the top left where the name of the site/project is, when I go to “Visit Site” what is there isn’t what was saved. It hasn’t changed in many edits. I’ve tried clearing the cache, but with no result.

    Thank you for the insights!
