Thanks! I did finally empty the trash and it did allow me to re-import the post.

Now the problem is that all of the post images got imported into my library but do not show up in the actual post. The post do appear, but no pics or videos.

I don’t expect there’s a simple (Relink) button hidden somewhere!?

Thanks but I thought that is what I did as described in my post.

Is there a “hidden file” that needs to be deleted? Do I need to go in an delete the post.pho file?
