All I asked was what YOU did and where. I’m sorry I asked you to step outside your comfort zone.

In reply to: [Download Monitor] WordPress Download Monitor errors when downloadingI do not see anything in my browser that tells me where the error is. I just see a 404 error statement. Am I missing something or not looking in the right place? I don’t want to make these changes and then find out that wasn’t my issue.
If this is my problem where exactly in the functions.inc.php file am I adding this line? Do I included the single quotes you surrounded the code with?
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: DOWNLOAD MONITOR: Downloads Not Working – Have tried EVERYTHING!I love the concept of this plugin. I don’t see another download manager that even comes close to what this plugin offers. Kudos.
My downloads only produce 404 errors (I checked it again before posting this and now I am getting “Download path is invalid”). When I navigate to the download.php I get a “Download path is invalid!” I checked Line 484 of download.php but it does not contain /* Debug.
I have now spent three days trying to get this plugin to function correctly. What do I try next?
I wonder if this is my issue? I am running a WordPress Multisite 3.0.4 with the Download Monitor. I can upload files fine. I can manually view the files fine. What I can’t do it download the files from the nifty shortcode page.
The appearance of the page is great but when you click on the download button you get redirected to a 404 error page. Not fun. I am very frustrated as I have been working on this for hours!
Here’s what I have done:
I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled the plugin.
I have double checked the .htaccess file in the wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files for the code snippet mentioned in the plugin configuration
I have tried default URL and custom URL
I have tried with the members only checked and unchecked
I have tried default and force downloadWhat on earth am I missing?

In reply to: [Download Monitor] WordPress Download Monitor errors when downloadingSnerf,
How can you tell where your error came from? “I am having a Error 404 – Page not found!” with every download. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin with no success. I don’t want to add your information unless I”m sure I’m having the same error. Did you add your code to the functions.inc.php file?Blessings,

In reply to: Classifieds Plugin?Jon,
If you read the install directions you are instructed to change the adsense subscription to your own code. In addition, you can turn off the adsense all together or set which position your would like it to display. On another note, the WP Classifieds plugin doesn’t work and to date I have received no support for the plugin. I am hopeful that the author will update his plugin and fulfill his support obligations to the masses as the “404 Not Found” error I am experiencing is a fairly common occurance.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-Classified] Will development continue?I installed this plugin but I get a “404 Not Found” error and it shuts down the entire blog. grrr I changed my .htaccess code per the instructions for my permalink setup.
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
#RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
RewriteRule !^(classified|odlinks)/ /index.php [L]
RewriteRule ^classified/([^/\(\)]*)/? /index.php?pagename=classified [QSA,L,R,NS]
</IfModule># END WordPress
However, that did nothing. Nada.
Can anyone help?

In reply to: WP Classifieds PluginI too am trying to use the WP Classified plugin. All I get is a “404 Not Found” error and no support, as of yet, from the creator. I love the idea of this plugin but it just isn’t working.
Blessings,
WendyWordPress 2.7 isn’t working for me…too many issues with plugins, WordPress Direct or theme (not sure which). I need to revert back to the last version WordPress 2.6.5 until these things are updated.
The first post in this topic has a link which says nothing about how to revert WordPress
“This wp-hacker thread has information on the subject of reverting:
https://comox.textdrive.com/pipermail/wp-hackers/2008-November/022732.html”Is there directions for reverting somewhere?

In reply to: Get white page when posting, editing, activating plugins since 2.7I am having the same white page issue. When I try to publish a post I get a white page and not action. The post doesn’t happen and the info is LOST.
1. I have upgrade my Google SML-Sitemap plugin to the suggested 50M but that did nothing.
2. Then I went into my HostGator account and the PHP Configuration says 64M memory limit.
3. How do you check your php error logs?My blog never did this before the 2.7 upgrade! Can this be fixed or should I just downgrade to the previous edition…which worked?
