thanks for your help. I found that plugin ‘ShortPixel Adaptive Images’ caused the problem.
Everything’s back to normal now.

It’s me again.
Found a solution. It was a problem with the customizer entry for single blog post in OceanWp theme. Now everything seems to work fine.

Unfortunately your suggested solution didn’t work. No change on my big screen.
But as you said it seems to be only a problem with large screens. Looking fine when I reduce the size of the window.
Hm, maybe I could also contact the OceanWP-Team. They might alos come up with a solution.

If you have another idea what I could do I’d appreciate it a lot because I really like the plugin.

Well I got rid of the problem now by changing wordpress theme and then changing back again.
Strange, but now the site is online again.
