Hello again, I just talked to my server and they were unwilling to update to the latest version of WP. I have to figure out how to do it manually. I have backed up my site. I have FTP but for another website on another older Mac. Is there anyone out there who can talk me through the steps? Maria

I think I did it from within the CPanel (not my WP dashboard or FTP) because I was in there anyway with tech support from my Server.

Thanks, Kit. I upgraded from 4.7.3 (I think). It says I have the most recent version of WP. Yes, there is a button that allows me to re-install 4.8.3.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Sorry I haven’t responded sooner. I don’t remember what the errors were. I have tried disabling all of the plugins and switching to Twenty Seventeen and from there I tried to make a change on the front page and it said the page doesn’t exist. Also, earlier I talked with my server and he couldn’t see any error logs from today.

Also with Health Check, nothing was happening when I clicked on troubleshoot so I had to deactivate everything manually.

Should I just uninstall and reinstall and rebuild from scratch?
