Okay, it is the IE max-width fix. When I took it out, the theme expands to fit the browser window in IE but shrinks appropriately. It looks pretty crappy when it expands to fit the window at 1280×960, so if anyone knows how to set a maximum width in IE without wrecking the fluidity, please let me know.

Hi, Lorelle, and thanks. I’m not especially competent with pHp but I think I understand at least how not to blow everything up, which is good for starters. My host gave a 24-hour notice for the upgrade so I was taken by surprise. I appreciate your help.

Never mind. Apparently I accidentally dragged the query from where it belonged to where it doesn’t. It’s fixed now.
