No that didn’t help. WP-Optimise has been deleted and the database restored. It worked for an hour or so and then fell apart again.

Is there a logging function somewhere that might give me a clue to what’s happening in that hour that changes it?

Not really, I suspected it could be WP-Optimise. It’s disabled and the problem is still there, even with images I upload from scratch.

I’ve just updated to 2.0.4 and the problem still exists. The window doesn’t go dark any more. Nothing happens at all when you click the button.

No, I am using a plugin called redirection to remap the old Drupal URLs, many of which were very messy, to new WordPress URLs in a clean category structure.

I have to eat my words Tara! The resource https://blondish.net/how-to-convert-drupal-to-wordpress/ on that page just saved me hundreds of hours of manual migration as well as solving my “comments” issue! All my posts are now migrated to WordPress with their associated users and comments.

The only issue I have now is what to do with the Advanced Forum threads from Drupal 6. At the moment they’re just not visible because they have a post type of “forum” but I could turn them into “posts” or I could possibly create a new custom post type of “forum” and make them look different. Not sure what the best thing is to do with them. There doesn’t seem to be any easy path to BuddyPress.

Thanks for your suggestion Tara, but in looking at those tools they all seem to be for scripted migrations. I am doing a non-scripted migration, one post at a time. So I just need a way to copy the comments from each Drupal post to the WordPress post as I migrate it. Even an SQL script for adding a single comment to a post may be OK, but something I can add to the Edit Post form would be better.

How can I turn that off for ALL posts? I already ran a script like this…

UPDATE wp_posts SET ping_status='closed' WHERE post_status = 'publish' AND post_type = 'post';

Hi Jason,

Thanks for your help. I have found the sent mail log in Google Apps and it does correspond with the sent mail log from Postman SMTP. So that’s good.

What we now believe is happening is that when a membership application form is completed but the corresponding Paypal transaction is not completed, no email is sent either to us or to the visitor.

Is this normal behaviour for the CP Contact Form plugin? Are you providing support for CP Contact Form, or just for Postman SMTP?

For me this is equivalent to people bailing out of shopping carts without completing a purchase and should raise some kind of alert so we can follow up to find out why and hopefully convert them to paid members.
