In reply to: HTTP error. My suggestion: Avoid unusual punctuation in your image’s titles.
Apostrophe’s, in particular, can stop an image from uploading. Rename such files and generally try to keep image names simple.

(Some of the solutions listed above seem unsafe, probably unnecessary, and some could break or otherwise compromise a website.)

In reply to: [OneSignal - Web Push Notifications] OneSignal is malwareWordPress staff formally investigated the plugin, including the specific instance it had been used as described above, to be used as a malware platform.
My findings were replicated and corroborated by WordPress staff.
However, WordPress doesn’t patrol what people do with plugins once they’re distributed, so it was allowed to remain available here.
Thanks very much for your helpful response. We have a solution that works for us, at least until your new version of the plugin comes out.
After saving a backup of the original feedzy-rss-feeds.css (JIC), I edited the .rss_image area to the following:
.feedzy-rss .rss_item .rss_image { float: none; position: relative; border: none; text-decoration: none; width: 100% !important; }
Thus, the image height is determined by a setting in the widget, or if left blank, appears at the default height of 150px.
The images’ width is determined by the size of the container, which varies, responsively, based on the user’s screen resolution.
The title now appears beneath the image. Looks great for us.
Thanks again for your great work, and best wishes to you personally, and in your coming updates!
Thanks, Dave! Just what I needed!!!!
In a Google Images search, I find that image as the top image result when searching “auto draft.” Is it possible that some code, somewhere, is inserting that phrase into the search string?
I tried the API settings but didn’t get any results.
Just now, I tried switching off thumbnail related plugins, to no effect.
Then, I turned off all of my plugins, created some posts “by hand,” and MPT worked fine.
Since I have several plugins bringing articles in via FeedWordpress or IFTTT, I wondered if that was the issue, causing some confusion in MPT?
Thanks very much. I tried it and got much the same result: https://bit.ly/2phZ62N
It’s particularly puzzling because running a Google Images search for the title of the post returns many valid images, including the YouTube image as the first result (the video upon which this post is based).
The image appears to have originated from there, but I do not know where it is originating from on the google image’s scraping searches. The actual file is named, “auto-draft-7.jpg,” and it seems to appear on many sites: https://bit.ly/2nsGZLk
Sorry, it didn’t work.
Being able to block bad images would be a big help, though.
Thanks very much! I will run that later today and follow-up on the results. Thanks again!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Status of 3.0.2??Sure, but most users don’t have a testing environment at hand, and most installations via cPanel/Softaculous (most of them) will install automatic upgrade plugins, themes, and WordPress itself, with or without notifications.
