Hi,
Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with WP-Client Lite and WordPress 4.2.2
Could you possibly expand on what kind of issues/errors you are encountering when attempting to install WP-Client Lite? We have tested installing and using the plugin in several installations running WordPress 4.2.2, and have been unable to generate any issues so far.
Thanks,
WP-Client Support Team
Hi,
Unfortunately it’s not currently possible to remove this field entirely from the registration form, or cease usage of the field elsewhere, as it is a required field. The main workaround would be to change the label of the field on the registration from, which it sounds like you have already done. (For anyone who reads this and would like to know how to change the label, please refer to the bottom of this post.) Unfortunately there is not currently a way to remove or “disconnect” this field from the plugin functions.

To replace the Business Name field label, you will want to replace the text “{$labels.business_name}” in the appropriate template at WP-Client–>Templates–>Shortcode Templates
See example video here: https://screencast.com/t/ZKVbVjXEc6VDHi,
Thank you for your interest in WP-Client. The plugin does allow you to “customize” what features are shown to the client on the frontend, using shortcodes. For example, if you only wanted to show file sharing functions, and didn’t want to show private messaging or invoicing, you would simply just need to only insert the shortcodes related to file sharing into the client’s HUB Page. In the frontend (the HUB Page, Portal Pages, etc), clients will only see functionality that is inserted into the page by you (the admin). However, in the admin backend of the plugin, all of the core functionality of the plugin will remain, but only admins and managers will be able to access these menus. Clients do not have access to the plugin backend menu.
Hope that answers your question, and please let us know if you have any others.
Thanks,
WP-Client Support Team

Your refund has been issued.

Generally speaking, in order to trigger the “good” password indicator, the password should be roughly 12 characters, including numbers and letters, and optionally mixed-case. However, as the “password requirements” settings are not part of WP-Client Lite, there are no actual limitations to the password. Messages such as “too short” and “bad password” are merely suggestions, and the password can still be created regardless of the message in the strength indicator (the one exception being the “password mismatch” message).
Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the plugin. Just to clarify a bit, when you say you are entering a character into the password field, are you only entering the text in one field, or both password fields? If text is only entered into one password field, the “Add Client” button will be greyed out until a matching password is entered in the second field.
Glad to hear you are enjoying WP-Client! If you have any questions, or experience any issues, please feel free to contact us through our official Support Channel here: https://support.webportalhq.com
