I understand your comment above about a potential jump effect. Not a problem in certain layouts where several targets appear in the same layout area. The transition is smooth.

In addition your 3 examples show that the two animation controls are
> “duration” and “animation-effect”
> NOT “data-duration” and “data-animation-effect” which we had picked up from documentation somewhere else.
Now we can actually define both the effect the speed, which did not work previously ??

Removing the class solves the issue.
One question however, if you cannot assign a class that includes padding, what are the limitations with regards to class attributes useable without issues for targclass?

Also, I tested the pw5 class with padding directly in the Target content area of the first example (using the trigclass) and the jitter does not happen … This eliminates the usefulness of the targclass altogether, doesn’t it? ..

Thanks for your helpful inputs. I have identified a potential cause. The page that keeps being referred to was once copied/distributed from one site to the other via the “Distributor” plugin. Although that link was severed long ago, there is always the possibility to reinstate the dependency. Hence I can imagine a scenario where that link keeps feeding the receptor site with its activity. I will take it from here.

Thanks for your reply. The only thing the two sites have in common is that I am the webmaster for both and I use a WordPress login to access both backends in the same session. No multisite or shared database. They are both hosted by WP.com.
The activity info only shows up from one site to the other, not both ways.

This is a portion of the info that shows up by error. Weirdly the user ie. I as webmaster is named “Other”

Relaying “jannik158z”‘s answer to my concern about support.
“The developer Vladimir is living in russia. That means no Payment method and maybe perhabs no clear intenet connection to the rest of the world.
I hope he could say what he want to do with the plugin in our difficult times.”
Thank you for that clarification. Our thoughts with all who suffer, everywhere, in this tragedy.

If anyone has any idea about this transition speed setting, maybe we can all share experiences between each other more generally, until things return to normal. SU is just a superbe and “must have” tool for us. Good luck all.

Thanks, we managed to get the Roll-Your-Own method to work OK, with its advantages.
However we noted that the transition to display the the target content was less smooth than via the short code and we got a bit stuck with the swaptitle not displaying in this case.

In think we will simply opt to pursue with the short code approach and use a different column plugin to insert the Collaps-o-matic spoilers side by side (ie. Genesis Columns Advanced which offers a reasonably responsive behaviour), so we are good for now.

Those were definitely a lot of great controls and did part of the trick, thanks!
We will look into the documentation in detail.

We now need to find out how to manage “real” (div) columns, if at all possible, in a more responsive/controllable way, so it’s not just the float that manages the layout on different screen widths. We use Tom Usborne’s lightweight-grid-columns plugin which has a built responsive control directly in the short codes, but that killed the pull down of the content in a first try.
