I hope someone replies to this, because I’m having the exact problem with my blog at https://webgrrrl.net. HELP!
I’ve tried setting and resetting the permalinks, and my .htaccess doesn’t show anything funny. I’m using WP 2.6.

Thanks for the bug report and sorry for the long delay. Hopefully the latest release fixes the errors everyone has mentioned above.

Maybe you can try the widgetized version of this plugin, called Top Commentators Widget — the issue of the comment count linebreak has been fixed. I’ve just uploaded it in the Plugins Directory.
Try the Top Commentators widget I made, it’s adapted from the Shop Top Commentators plugin.
That issue is solved if you use the Top Commentators Widget.
You may want to try the Top Commentators Widget for those using widgets, I modified it from the Show Top Commentators plugin itself.
