Good to hear you managed to solve the problem, but “Include styles/scripts on gallery pages only” option has nothing to do with PHP Sessions. Honestly, we do not understand how that option can affect the server side caching, as it only moves style/scripts from header to footer and enqueues only on pages that have galleries.

Photo Gallery starts a PHP session only if the comments captcha is On, or the order of images is set to random. There is no option to disable sessions, but there are options to turn that parts off.

Please help us understand the issue and fix it. So the server side caching stops when any of the plugins use a PHP session? So you generally suggest avoiding using sessions? And what technology should we use instead, to achieve similar functionality?

Let me clarify the misunderstanding about tracking. WD Manager is designed to help you to install, update and manage Web-Dorado Premium plugins and themes. It only gets the LIST of Web-Dorado plugins and themes, that you are using on your site so that it can show you notifications about available updates. It neither tracks any behavior, nor it tracks your other plugins and themes.

Please also note, that WD Manager is required for Premium versions only. For the free versions, you can get updates through www.remarpro.com.

Regarding your other issues: You have an open ticket with our customer care team. They are looking at it right now and will do their best to solve all your problems with Web-Dorado products.

After installing, Photo Gallery plugin displays a message, where explicitly asks your permission to get your name, email address and some more data (listed clearly in “What data is being collected?” part of the message), which

“will allow you to get more out of your plugin experience – get awesome customer support, receive exclusive deals and discounts on premium products and more”

.

As the message clearly states,

“You can choose to skip this step, Photo Gallery will still work just fine.”

After giving your permission, you get an email from us with some useful information about the plugin: steps to get started, documentation, FAQ and support links, etc. The email has an unsubscribe link, which allows you to opt out from any other email messages from us.

You can restore database backup file by uploading the package through Backup WD plugin restore section.
Website files restoring will also be available in Backup WD plugin soon.

In the version 1.3.53 of Photo Gallery plugin we announced the release of Backup WD plugin with a dismissable notification, that is displayed only once and never appears again after the admin closes (dismisses) it.

Note, that this is not an advertisement of paid software as this plugin is free and does not have a paid version.

This notification is relevant as the plugin allows to backup the images from Photo Gallery.

Anyway, as @tombob2006 is not the only user that did not like the notification, we have removed it by rolling back the active version to 1.3.52.
