In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] XML Sitemap ErrorHi I looked at your link and it seems like something is printing some empty rows at the top of the page, which is not allowed for xml.
My guess is that it’s some plugin doing this, so if you tell me which ones you’re using I’ll look it up. Does the error disappear if you try and disable some of them?

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Does not work with 25.000 Articles moreHi yeah the plugin isn’t really optimized for sites with that amount of posts yet. It does support 50k posts to be displayed though, which is the maximum amount of links most indexers allow in a sitemap.
But maybe not the most user friendly. So I’m gonna think about this, to split them up for sites with that amount of posts is not a bad idea actually!

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] HTML site-mapHi sorry there’s no option to exclude the html sitemap for the moment. Hadn’t really thought about that, so yeah it’s kinda mandatory atm.
Yep there’s a couple plugins out there that have that option, for instance I think the google xml sitemaps plugin offers it. But I’ll see if I can also add an option for that in the future ??
What you can do though if you want to “block” the sitemap right now, is just upload a file called sitemap.html to your websites “root directory”. It can be an empty file, a real sitemap or whatever, and when someone then visits your website.com/sitemap.html that file will be shown instead of the sitemap from this plugin.

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Sitemap locationHi well the thing is the sitemaps can’t really be found since they don’t actually exist ?? When the sitemap links are visited it’s not any “actual files” or anything that’s viewed, instead it’s dynamic content from the database that’s presented.
So this means you can’t really edit them sorry (unless you dig into the plugins php files).
Have no idea how to change from http to https, but one thing you can do though is force it with htaccess. Can’t really remember how to do it, but it’s one way to ensure that everyone who visits does it with https.

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Custom post typesRight, no problems ??

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Custom post typesHi yeah custom post types are supported so that’s strange. The product pages should be located under “Posts” in the html sitemap, and other pages like shop and cart under Pages. Are you using any extensions for woocommerce?
Custom taxonomies however aren’t supported yet, but maybe I’ll get around to it!

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Feature RequestHi sorry to say but I found there were way to many problems related with creating and maintaining static files (not only what’s been reported here in the support threads). And bugs/collisions with other plugins. So I’ve decided to completely abandon that idea, and wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole now ??
But have you tried using a caching plugin? That could be the solution, and would also improve performance greatly.

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Error during front-end postingYeah it kinda ended up in a total makeover. Had way to many issues before, and found even more when I started to look up what you reported here.
No problems, glad it works now ??

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Error during front-end postingExact same error? Strange, and that’s totally weird that my plugin runs on a purchase button!
Thank you for notifying me, I’m gonna have to look this up and add some fixes during the week. Btw can you post a link to that plugin?

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Error during front-end postingHi the problem seems to be that some of those plugins include official wordpress files too soon. So when this plugin tries to update the sitemaps it can’t find the functions from those files.
I’ll see if I can find a fix for this, so just deactivate the plugin for now and check back when there’s a new update!

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Error upon activationHi well that’s wierd! What theme are you using?
Does the same thing happen if you deactivate and reactivate the plugin?

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Draft posts in sitemapHi I’m already on it ??
With the next update all drafts, private pages and password protected ones will be excluded. Check back in a couple days and it should be released!

In reply to: [Simple Wp Sitemap] Please exclude drafts in the sitemapHi glad you like the plugin!
Hm hadn’t noticed that. But I looked it up and it was an easy fix, so they will be excluded with the next update.
