My iThemes security plugin was the bad guy, specifically the setting for filtering non-english characters! Switched that off, all fine now.

But that filter, is it a shortcode (or php code)? I have a business listing website with a lot of pages, one for each business. And on these individual pages I want to show their tweets only with a specific hashtag. That’s why I need a shortcode (or php code) I can construct per business page.
