+1 – it’s a really misleading and underhanded way to try and get people to pay.

I ended up using the plugin for everything except the Uploads directory, which I transferred via FTP. This worked well.

We have a form hidden (with another plugin) to everyone except subscribers. People call the office and are emailed a 24 hour temporary access URL (using your plugin) which redirects to the page where the form is hidden. They have 24 hours to complete the form and submit, before their temporary login is revoked, hiding the form again.

I hope that makes sense. It works well.

I have now resolved the problem.

I “inherited” this website from another developer. After a lot of searching I discovered the following lines had been added to the .htaccess file for some unknown reason. Removing these lines and clearing my browser cache fixed the problem!

Header set Cache-Control “max-age=604800, public”
Header unset Pragma
