thanks for your quick answer. But the problem is not in the custom template, which is still in place and nothing changed there. But as I said the text in the description field “loses” the line breaks (non-HTML, just visual) upon saving.

That didn’t happen before. Before, you could save it like

This
is my
multiline
caption

and it would stay that way in the caption field. But now, when I save, it removes all breaks and the text is converted back to

this is my multiline caption

So it’s something that happens with the field/in the database.

Sorry if I’m not able to describe it well.. English is not my mother language.

Yes… second that! And I have other problems when highlighting is active.
It screws up my “Read more” link… Happens when the Search-Term is part of the URL.

EG: Search for: “happy”
URL: https://mysite.org/happy-people/

I have the same Problem and no whitelisting active.
I’m getting a 403 error on my custom login url…
Whitelisting is not active…

I do get to my login form using my custom login url. The error appears AFTER I have entered my login credentials.

Do you have another Idea?
I can give you access to my test site if you can identify yourself as plugin developer.

I knew about global $post; but I tried adding it at the top of functions.php, thinking it would work for all functions.
I didn’t think of putting it INSIDE my function!

Maybe you should re-save your permalinks. That COULD work…
go to Settings > Permalinks and re-save your settings.

I suspected it has to do with php version but my customer has a very old strato hosting deal that doesn’t exist any more, lost password and the old packet doesn’t have options for changing php version.

But at least now I know I can stop re-installing and wait for a solution or make my customer get a new password so we can upgrade the hosting deal.

Hi everyone! After almost having a number of heart attacks I found out what was causing this problem: It was the newly installed Avira Antivir Browser Security… after deactivating that everything was fine!

But still I had problems setting links and searching for linkable content when I updated to 4.2. on a massive multisite yesterday. So I will wait until I try that again!

You can install wordpress into any folder you wish. And it must be in a right folder because it’s online and can be seen by everyone. So leave everything as it is and you’re good!

How large are the Images you are trying to upload? Maybe your memory is too low. Try uploading a really small image.

Also check the permissions on your uploads folder. For testing, give it 777 permissions and try uploading again.

What do you mean? The TEXT Editor or the VISUAL editor???
