    Hi Oliver,

The update for the site wide header height is working as expected.

    Thank you!

    Hi Oliver,

    Thanks for the clarifications.

You are correct vis-a-vis Twenty Seventeen and setting the header for non-home pages.

I suppose that a checkbox to allow for this setting to be site-wide would be helpful.

    Thanks!

    Hi Oliver,

My bad, I was looking in the wrong place at the wrong plug-in. Clearly needed more coffee at the time.

I have installed the new version and it appears to work well on the home page. I will likely need to edit my header image, or select a different one, given the size characteristics. More likely the former.

A question. The size adjustments appear to work on the home page, but not on other pages. Is that correct, or am I missing something?

Thanks for all of the work so expediently on this!

    Oliver,

I am not seeing the updated plug-in, only 1.5.0 from about 3 days ago.

I checked the SVN repo also, but nothing there that I see.

Is there someplace else that I should be looking, or do I just have to wait until it shows up as an update?

Thanks for your efforts on this!

    Hi Oliver,

I would say that does get close conceptually. As I suspect you know, it also has the background below the main page text content, which I would not want.

Being able to control the height of the header image area, as Ludwig noted above, would be helpful.

    Thanks!

    Hi Oliver,

    I appreciate your consideration here.

If I can assist further in any way, including perhaps some testing, please do let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi Oliver,

    Thanks for your reply.

It is possible that I missed some functionality with the cover block, and would be open to suggestions on use. I was not able to get the cover block to be right at the top of the page (nothing above it) with a full page width image.

Essentially, I am looking to replicate at least key features of the header image capabilities for the Twenty Seventeen theme, if that helps. If that is not conceptually consistent with the intent of Twenty Twenty-One, I fully understand. I was hoping to be able to have the header image, while also taking advantage of other functionality in the newer theme.

    Hi Oliver,

    I appreciate your consideration.

I played around with the Cover Block, and it did not really get the look that I was after. Thanks for pointing that out.

I do not need a different image on each page for my use case.

That being said, there may be other users who do, so I would not want to rule that out completely, to consider other use cases. Not sure how much additional work that would require however.

    James,

    Thanks for your reply.

I have added a request to the plug-in options page for the header image support.

    Thanks,

    Hi Daniel,

I have it resolved. Thanks for the push.

I reinstalled WordPress itself, using the Re-Install Now option on the updates page.

That seems to have resolved the issue and I can now authenticate with DropBox and running the job now completes successfully.

Presumably, there was some corruption of the most recent WP update that caused this problem.

    Thanks!

    Hi Daniel,

I had provided full authentication for the plugin, as I have the backups going into a different folder than Apps. It had been working fine until last week.

The version of PHP being reported in the backup log is:

    PHP ver.: 5.4.43 (64bit); cgi-fcgi; Linux

which is more recent than the minimum version required by the plugin.

No other errors are reported in the log.

I can no longer get the DropBox authentication to complete.

    Just an FYI, that the:

STRICT NOTICE: is_a(): Deprecated. Please use the instance of operator

is likely because you are running PHP 5.2. is_a() was “undeprecated” in PHP 5.3.

I just updated my site today from 5.2 to 5.3 and that notice went away.

On the other ERROR related to Zip, try to change the compression method to TAR and also be sure that you have enough disk space on the target drive.

    Hi all,

I can confirm that this issue is still present in Version 0.9.2.4. In fact, I had a person send me a message yesterday on Google+ to let me know that when he went to my site, using a link from a blog post I had replied to on another site, he was able to see the WP Bar on my home page. He even sent me a screen capture of my home page in his browser to show me that the WP Bar was present and showed my name and gravatar, etc.

From what I can tell, if my experience is consistent, using the WP Bar when not logged in when this happens, does not allow you to get into the site Admin pages. It takes me to the WP login page.

So the appearance of the WP Bar when not logged in may be a bit of a red herring, albeit a scary one.

I agree with others that caching should not take place at all for logged in users and any settings relevant to this behavior be removed.

    Thanks.
