In reply to: After updating plug ins, I am not able to log into my dashboardLook like a corrupted plugin.
Can you log into your admin page? If you can, you can go under plugins to disable the plugin and see if the issue is resolved.
If you cannot log into your site, then you have to login via FTP to remove the mailchimp plugin and see if the issue resolve.
If nothing works, you may have to restore your backup.

In reply to: My website potentially being hosted by two diff servers?No, what you described is not possible. What Steve said is your domain’s DNS is pointing to wordpress.com. What he means is your site is hosted by wordpress.com instead of self hosting. If you want to point your domain to a different host, you would have to go to your domain registrar and change the DNS to your host’s DNS. Your host will have the DNS for you to use in your host’s admin page or setup page.
What you describing could happened if your browser is serving some old cache to you.
Hope it help.

In reply to: Trouble with YouTube embeddingsko93,
Have you check the CSS for the embedded YT iframe/area? Maybe the height is not set correctly. You can use Chrome Developer Tools [F12 to open it] to look into the settings by select the element [click on the left icon, cursor with the box]
If it in fact the CSS property is wrong, then you can correct it yourself. If theme allow custom CSS, you can set the height property to auto.
If theme does not allow custom css, you need to create a file and link to to your theme.
Of course, you can wait for the theme developer to correct it or use a different theme.

In reply to: how to remove result from searchboxHello,
You can use Chrome developer tools (F12 to open it), click on the select element icon (first icon on left with the cursor at the box), then select/click on the search icon you want to hide.
After you click on the icon, you should see the code that is highlighted in the developer tools. Remember or copy down the class name or id name.
If your template allow custom CSS code, go there and under custom CSS code, enter the following:
.className OR #idName {
display: none;
}If your template does not allow custom CSS. You will have to create a file and link it to the bottom of your index page.
