The cover has text on it though, I have white text block that is displayed over the photo. I want to keep that, I don’t know how I can put the same white text over a slider – also the slider only allows max 10 seconds for changing to next photo. I tried to upload a screen shot here, but it says uploading is disabled and I don’t have this photo at a url anywhere else at the moment.

I can’t, its a private site. Its just a standard gallery with captions… I would like to make the text bigger.

yes, those are the type of thing I needed… Sorry I was not specific enough to begin with… I was having trouble wording it correctly, thank you.

Just to answer my own question… I found the plugin My Private Site… it seems to use WP users and passwords for logging into a private site which is exactly what I needed to work with the shiftcontroller plugin… phew… meets all my criteria including its free! So far this plugin seems great and the free version does exactly what it says it will do.

I should have been more specific. I need to restrict my site to having wp users use their user ID and password to login to see the site. Unfortunately GoDaddy does not have the settings->general->privacy section to setup WP users so they login to WP basically and then can see the site. I can’t seem to find a plugin to do this. I may need to find a different hosting service that does support this, providing someone does. I would use wordpress.com as they support it, but their plan that would allow me to install plugins is $25 per month and I can’t afford that. GoDaddy is only $7.50 per month and allows me to install plugins.

wow, thanks! This looks very cool and way better than anything I was even thinking of… Currently my manager is using google calendars and I don’t know if she would move away from that to this – is my only issue with it, but I am going to see if she is willing… this is a great suggestion though! Thanks! If anyone else has any other ideas I may still be looking, something more of just a blog post – like I need someone to cover my shift on this date, and then someone responds to the post and says yes I can. I am trying to get the hang of posts as I thought that was sort of built into wordpress, but not sure if its my theme or what, but I can’t seem to figure out how to add a page for that. Thanks
