EDIT: I’ve completely deleted the sidebar for one particular category, and it’s still appearing on that posts category page (Sidebar was set to Posts = All Posts/Blog Page, Category = News (“News” being the name of the category)

Thanks for the reply, Mika. S2Member says that it SHOULDN’T work, but I do have it working via their free plugin conjunction with WP Orphanage Extended (and possibly the Root Cookie plugin if needed), just hate the thought of future updates breaking it all. Thanks!

Hi wpmac and/or radiok,

Here’s what I’m looking to do with the help of RPR: I’ve added Custom Fields for “First Name” and “Last Name.” Now what I’d like to do is display that RATHER THAN the username on Comments.

So rather than it saying “jdoe says…” (where jdoe is the username), I need it to say “John Doe says…” (where John is the First Name and Dow is the Last Name).

Where might I find this within my theme to change? Functions.php? single.php? (If it helps, I’m using WooTheme’s Gazette)

Just afraid there are TOO many categories. For Sports alone I would have about 15 (football, boys basketball, girls basketball, cross country, track, etc.etc.)

By ‘Beta’ i mean that we only had a handful of viewers seeing it every day (the data was mirrored elsewhere in another older CMS for the entire public). Last night, however, I linked our election results to this WP blog, just to see if it could sustain the number of hits.

I actually had to call our webhost (Inmotion Hosting) to have them reboot the server, which seemingly got it back online. Though looking at my server status today, I’m seeing (in Web Host Manager) it bounce between:
Server Load 2.91 (2 cpus)
and
Server Load 1.80 (2 cpus)

Wish I could have seen it last night before the crash. So that caching won’t help, eh?
