In reply to: Subscribe2 not sending emails@adlinni…if you have them register as users and have the setting ticked to autosubscribe then (you have to allow them to unsubscribe) you can also have your subscribe settings set to “all categories” upon registration. This way your folks sign up and all the “paperwork” is done for them. If they want to unsubscribe at any time they are free to do so.

In reply to: Subscribe2 not sending emailsBy the way…what is the advantage of having Public Subscribers over Registered Users?

In reply to: Subscribe2 not sending emails@adlinni…yes, this worked for Registered Users. I’m not certain how Public Subscribers interface with Subscribe2. The only way folks receive updates on my blog is to register. They are automatically subscribed when they fill out the registration info but are given the option of unsubscribing. Now that I have moved away from GoDaddy it seems to be working perfectly.

In reply to: Subscribe2 not sending emailsAdlinni…try this. Go into your admin control panel. Under “Subscribers” pick any subscriber at random, chose the “edit” link and see if any of your site’s “Categories” are checked off. I found that when I upgraded none of my subscribers had any categories checked…I had to go back in and manually check the “check all” box for each subscriber. This task can be made somewhat easier by just holding down the Control key when you click on “edit” and open up a new tab for each subscriber. It’s then simply a matter of clicking one button on each tab. Don’t forget to save the changes for each subscriber.

In reply to: Subscribe2 not sending emailsWe moved the site from GoDaddy and things are working perfectly. GoDaddy, through a process of elimination, was the culprit.

In reply to: Subscribe2 not sending emailsSince mail is sending it does not appear to be a problem of GoDaddy or the email plugin, it is something with the Subscribe2 Plugin. What should the database values be in someone subscribes? Does it matter if you override the persons subscription settings via the backend…basically does the person have to set the subscription settings themselves? Also, admins get the emails just not all subscribers.

In reply to: Subscribe2 not sending emailsWe have also been on the phone with GoDaddy and it is definitely not on their end.
I’m on board with this same problem. My Subscribe2 had been working properly up until 2 weeks ago when it suddenly stopped sending. No modifications were made to the site. We have checked with GoDaddy, our ISP, and everything is fine there. We have uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it manually, changed the setting from 0 to 1. Help!!!
