Thanks very much for your speedy response. The actual download is tens of milliseconds. It’s the DNS lookup, connection, and SSL handshake that bump it to a few hundred milliseconds. For whatever reason, it also appears to be blocking.

I’ll try your plugin settings and take it from there.

Actually, no. I was only referencing A3 Lazy Load to note the difference in behavior, and I’ve only switched back to A3 Lazy Load because it has offered the best tradeoff of pluses/minuses so far.

But when I was using your plugin (I was testing the different lazy load plugins), the 2 issues I ran into were as described.

I’m still curious about the answers because I still haven’t settled on my final lazy load choice.

Interesting, as Divi has an Enable Google fonts option which is enabled, and if I turn this option off, the font changes.

Also, what started this is the following warning from PageSpeed: Ensure text remains visible during webfont load, which suggests that a webfont is indeed being used.

I’ll take this up with Divi and see if I can figure it out.
