Hello. I know this is a lot, but I’m really working to understand how to get this set up. Sure hope you can help me.
I’m trying to create a site that has the following:
1. Fully responsive.
2. No Content header. Full height Left sidebar with Header Logo and Primary Navigation. You’ve given me help and the CSS for this part. Thanks!
3. Possibly right sidebar with image linked to a gallery page which will be updated monthly (Post?)
4. Same background color across the entire page, sidebars and main content area,except for the footer which will be a different color
5. Insert a background image that covers the entire page, except the footer. The image is 1440px by 900px.
6. Have the text and images display on the image, not in separate boxes.

Question: What is the relationship between the background color and the background image.
I want to get this set up correctly before beginning to create the pages with content, Carousel, and images, etc.

PS. I’d like to attach a .jpg image of the page I intend to create, but don’t know how.
PSS. That’s one cute kid you’ve got there.

I checked my html source code (editor). No <footer id”?????????”
You said I would have to add it manually in footer.php.

Not a coder. can you tell me where and how to add it?

Just realized the problem. I had started this under a different WP.org login. OK, let’s go to EventsManagerPro. With user name of hmbastian 4 days ago. Was talking with Angelo.

Happy to use Pro forums. I’ll be reading about placeholders, and give this a try tomorrow. So how do I “Transfer” to the pro forum to continue this conversation – if necessary?

Great, I have that part figured out. Now where is the answer about displaying a summary of the event along with the thumbnail of the featured image. Sorry I’m such a dunce, but am trying to learn.

I do have EMpro. Is it the same forum?

I’d like to try that, but I don’t know how to add a child theme to my site that is a modified word press twentyten. Can anyone help me. I am definitely not a programmer, but I can follow instructions very well.

I have the same problem as mooreart above and appreciate the three possible solutions. I think zeniph is correct that something has to be change in the wp-config.php, but I don’t know enough to attempt it without some very explicit step-by-step instructions from someone in the know. Please help if anyone can.

OK, Now perhaps you can tell me if it is possible to increase the text size for the I-transform theme. I’m nearly done, thanks to your and various other peoples on-line help.

My clients are Senior citizens and need a larger type size than is on the i-transform theme.

OK. I’ve now updated to 1.8. Of course it was not difficult, pretty automatic.

Thanks, I guess you’re right. Just experiment, but I was/and still am a little afraid to try anything for fear of not being able to get out of it. Now with 1.8 I don’t see the “Read More” buttons anyway – just as well.

I have i-transform theme. Downloaded the recent upgrade. Installed your nice plug in, BUT when I go to Appearance > themes on my WP localhost site, there is no “Install Themes” tab. What do I do. I just see the list of installed themes.

I agree to a point. I just don’t know how to put the details into the Theme Options page in order to get the Read More buttons on the header to function. Help!

I’ve looked at this totorial a dozen times. No help because I don’t know what goes into the “slide details”, e.g. Slide n Description, Slide n Link Text, Slide n Link URL.

Also, do I need to use photoshop or the like to resize the photos in order to get them to fit into the frame on the header?
