In reply to: No Dashboard optionsI’ve solved this issue now…
I happened to have a screenshot of my actual admin log in details from when I set the site up so I used this to log on and all is working again! Somehow my other log-in details I used to use no longer give me full permissions (even though it said ‘howdy, admin’ in the top right corner.

In reply to: [Hestia] Full page widthI’ve just found the answer.
In the Customiser go to Appearance Settings > General Settings and uncheck the ‘Boxed Layout’.

In reply to: Subdomain IssueUPDATE: NEW QUESTION –
In Cpanel my domain is pointing to the wrong root directory. It’s pointing to an older abandoned version of the website. So when I type in newsite.com it shows newsite.com in the address bar, good, but it’s the old site.
It’s complicating things because I don’t know which files are the new site and which are for the old site within File Manager.
I can redirect newsite.com to go to xyz.com/newsite but it says xyz.com/newsite in the address bar and i don’t want that.
So..
1/ Is there a way to ‘clean up’ and delete the old site?or
2/ How can I figure out which one is from the subdomain of my existing site? (xyz.com/newsite) (because that version is the right website)

In reply to: Subdomain IssueThanks very much.
I’ve been researching and I know a tiny bit more (but still in the dark)
I need to connect my Domain to my host (site5) first I think? And then connect the domain to the subdomain I have on multisite?

In reply to: Site won’t save ‘Looks like somethings gone wrong’I tried all sorts – but the last thing I did was change it to a multisite on the WordPress set up. (I think I did this by going through Softalicious on Site5) I can’t say for sure if this was the thing that made it work but it’s saving now.
I’d tried to set a site up before via my site5 and WP so I’m left with it’s…’residue’.
Let me know if you need more info and I’ll go back in to it and take some screenshots.

In reply to: Site won’t save ‘Looks like somethings gone wrong’Ok looks like I might need to attempt the manual update.
The PHP has now been changed to PHP 7 but, unless the changes take a while, it hasn’t resolved my issue.

In reply to: Site won’t save ‘Looks like somethings gone wrong’Ok, I’ve disabled static caching through my cPanel cache settings, but no fix.
I must’ve done something wrong somewhere or not something I should’ve.
