In reply to: [Classic Editor] Will Classic Editor affect the format of my Gutenberg posts?Brilliant. Thank you! I just wanted to double-check!

In reply to: Page editor won’t workIt appears that the problem was caused by a browser update and resolved by a later browser update. I had no idea WordPress was so sensitive to browsers. Thanks, James Huff for your help (and putting up with my snark which was not personal)!
Next time, I’ll try some different browsers, including a non-Chromium one before checking the plugins and themes, honestly (I know, I know)! And definitely using that Health Check plugin from now on!

In reply to: Page editor won’t workYes, I don’t have any browser extensions. It’s a brand-new edition of edge.
And now WooCommerce products aren’t editable. When I enter editing, the fields are all blank! This is very odd!
On the other hand, I downloaded Chrome, just to check, and everything seems to work brilliantly. I can edit pages, posts, products on WooCommerce, and the media library appears to be fine! This is very confusing!

In reply to: Page editor won’t workDeactivating WooCommerce made the media library work again. Not the page/post editor

In reply to: Page editor won’t workI’m not. I mean the Gutenberg whatever that system is.
Anyway, now editing pages and posts has ceased working in Edge. All I get is a white screen with no error message. Deactivating all the plugins and themes does nothing and I just downloaded the very latest version of Edge.
I also noticed my media library was loading and not showing images. That appears to be caused by WooCommerce, but deactivating WooCommerce had no effect on editing pages-I only mention this in case it’s helpful for figuring out the post-editor. One problem at a time!

In reply to: Page editor won’t workOk, so it loads in Edge and I can start to edit, but then the page randomly reloads when I try to add a new block, or convert a block. I really think this might be an error with the Gutenberg block plugin because WooComerce products work fine.

In reply to: Page editor won’t workWell, it does work on Microsoft Edge, which it turns out my browser, Brave, did automatically update. I think it I’d known that, I might have started there. But thanks. I’ll try to figure out what’s wrong with Brave browser or switch to Edge.
But why on earth would a browser cause WordPress to have an error that a variable in a WordPress file is not read correctly? I’d like to have some more fundamental understanding so I can figure these things out myself.

In reply to: Page editor won’t workThanks,
That didn’t help at all. I’m surprised there isn’t a better way to zero in on things that may have changed since this was working only a few days ago and not much has changed since then. I appreciate the help, though!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Can’t find ‘Crimea’ in country listDepending on who you talk to it’s either part of Russia or Ukraine. It’s not an independent country.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Feature request – Media & Text block change size of imageThat’s great That would be much better. I was just working on an attribute page in WooCommerce and it was just so nice how I placed my image, floated it left, used the img width in html to control the size, and my text flowed around it!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Feature request – Media & Text block change size of imageOh, I had no idea that was what that thing was. Thanks. This is yet another thing I hate about Gutenberg. All these weird random things appear and you don’t know what they are. Before, you could learn css or html and transfer those skills to WordPress.
And it’s ok, but it doesn’t have any numeric value to it so I can’t ensure that if I have 2 or 3 of those in my post that all the images are the same size. Nor can I ensure that the text and image will be balanced. I have to just keep trying a size, hitting preview, then trying another size. Instead of taking my post width, and doing some simple division and subtraction and figuring out how to make the image the right size.

In reply to: Creating a custom archive page@contentiskey Thanks. I’m working my way through the structure slowly. 10 years ago, I’d have no problem but these new themes, every page broken into little parts makes it hard.
The codex link is definitely helpful, though!
