In reply to: JetPackEven before Jetpack — you had to have a wordpress.com login in order to use the wordpress.com stats for your www.remarpro.com site. So even though you weren’t hosted by wordpress.com — you could still use their stats functionality by linking your www.remarpro.com site to them. It’s a subtle difference that can be easily confused IMHO.
Go here to change your WordPress.com password:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/I’m sure you had one if you used WordPress.com stats.

In reply to: blog running diff version of WP than rest of siteThanks for all of your help. The tech at the theme I was originally using figured it out.
I used to run WP just in the /blog/ directory — and the rest of my website was maintained through DreamWeaver. About 18 months ago, I put the entire site into WP — and I apparently forgot about deleting the old /blog/ directory — and I was so used to seeing it, it didn’t occur to me to delete it. Sometimes it’s hard to see the forest for the trees.
I feel stupid for missing it — but once I renamed the directory — the page showed the correct WP version # & I was able to upgrade to the theme I wanted.

WP Super CacheThe problem is that the Mystique theme requires that I run at least WP 3.1. When I upgraded the latest version of Mystique the other day, it would work on all of the pages EXCEPT the blog page.
Well, this afternoon I’ll try to uploading Mystique again & see what it does.

In reply to: blog running diff version of WP than rest of siteThat made me feel better — thank you for that.
But I did this — and can you believe that it’s still wrong? The version on the blog page is STILL different. It’s like it’s possessed.

In reply to: blog running diff version of WP than rest of siteWill I lose everything but content? Including which plugins I have, what setups I have in plugins, my menus, settings, etc. What a nightmare.

In reply to: Mac filesI upload Photoshop files created on a Mac all the time. I create the JPG (make sure to flatten the image if you have layers) — save it — then upload image into WP. No problem — no conversion necessary.

In reply to: blog running diff version of WP than rest of siteI was hoping that this wasn’t unique & that I could fix it & get my site back with the theme that I want.
I turned off all of the plugins — flushed the cache — and the blog page still shows a different version of WP. (I turned them back on though b/c I’m attached to my plugins.)

In reply to: blog running diff version of WP than rest of siteIt shows 3.2.1 on the bottom of the dashboard — as does the source code for all of the pages except the blog page. When I check under Updates — I have the latest version. This morning I ran a re-install for 3.2.1 but I still have the problem.
How is it possible to have a different WP version on just the blog page?
When I had Mystique as a theme, I disabled each plugin one at a time & still had the same problem. I’ll try that again with TwentyTen this afternoon.

In reply to: blog running diff version of WP than rest of siteBecause I was having problems with the Mystique theme in the version of WP running on my blog page, I switched to the TwentyTen theme. In both themes, the version on the source code of the page is 3.0.4.
Which doesn’t directly answer your question, I know. I can’t find that code in the header.php file of the TwentyTen theme.

In reply to: blog running diff version of WP than rest of siteWait — it is on the source page for the blog page. Which header file are you talking about? WP-blog-header.php? I can’t seem to find a *-header.php file that has that line.

In reply to: blog running diff version of WP than rest of siteNo it is hard coded in there as 3.04. Can I change it to your code & upload it? Will that fix it?
