Sure. But when I have to upload 200+ pictures, I’d rather use the file name instead ??
Just found the solution!
The above nextgen-download plugin shortcode to work with albums
is: [ nggalbum id=1 template=extend gallery=download ].
And it does show file names as captions!Your solution is pretty good too, and I’ll have that in mind when working with fewer pictures because I don’t like to use file names. But for a huge batch of pictures, this is a an option when we don’t want to waste our time typing captions.
Thank you again, DoubleSixx!
In the meantime, I found this plugin that works like a charm, if a shortcode is aapplied to the page of a gallery.
But I couldn’t understand their explanation for use with an album.

Oh well …
Thank you for your time and suggestion. I really appreciate it!
I tried your suggestion, however, I have been unable to figure out how to generate captions by simply assuming the file names. I have too many pictures to type captions one by one, while create the galleries.
I assume that if I figure out how to fix that part, then your suggestion will work like a charm, as it does on your website.Do you happen to know how I can force NextGen to include the file name as a caption?

In reply to: Hiding a single page titleThe code suggested by seomaverick worked for me as well, but then it disappears from the menu. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you.
While I didn’t get an answer yet, I tried to upload just a single picture today. I exported it to make it smaller, but still I got an error: “Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/49/6879049/html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/gd.thumbnail.inc.php on line 179”
I really don’t know what to do.
Any help will be mostly appreciated.
It worked! Thank you for your quick response!

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Installation Fatal Error chmod 777Since I switched hosting providers, many of my plugin problems were fixed. But I never tried to install W3 Total Cache again, even though my friends liked it better than WP Super Cache … I wish you luck ??

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Installation Fatal Error chmod 777I gave up on this plugin and installed WP Super Cache instead.
I guess it depends on the plugin or theme you’re using. Some themes have specific options to enable/disable this feature.
