But my issue is not caused by “Initial View” option. Actually Initial View has always been disabled in my settings.

The only difference between them is that the first H2 of the first article includes a link and TOC won’t appear at this situation.

I will really appreciate if you can have a look at the issue here (https://github.com/shazahm1/Easy-Table-of-Contents/issues/116), I have uploaded a lot of screenshots there.

I did clear all my site cache. I even tried to disable all my cache-related plugins. But this issue persists.

Actully you can try it by yourself, if you change the category using ‘Quick Edit’ without editing the post, Yoast will return the previous category.

I will creat a new issue at Github.

I find the key to this issue.

If I changed the category using ‘Quick Edit’ at /wp-admin/, Yoast would return the previous one. But If I changed the category using ‘Edit’ at wp-admin/post.php, Yoast would return the new category. I am not sure about the difference between these two ways, but it may be a ‘bug’ of Yoast.

Hope this information can help.

My WordPress version is 5.4.2 and Yoast version is 14.7. I have tried Yoast Test Helper plugin, but it does not make any change.
