Hi @nta78,
Can you confirm if you tested this when the FAQ plugin was deactivated? I’m wondering whether it’s causing an issue when enabled which is overriding either WordPress default comment behaviour and/or BNFWs comment behvaiour.Hi @coldrealms65,
Thanks for your message.BNFW doesn’t have any permanent settings and only overrides and extends WordPress notifications when the plugin is enabled. It’s possible object caching or something else is causing an issue here so it’s worth checking that.
For your second point, there isn’t a specific integration with either BuddyPress or bbPress so you may not find BNFW is a good fit when used in conjunction with these plugins.
Hi @nta78,
Thanks. Can you test this with the default WordPress comment form on a post and a New Comment notification to see if it’s still an issue?
I can’t seem to replicate it on my end.Hi @nta78,
Thanks for this extra info. How are you adding comments to the site? Is it via the default WordPress comment form, a form provided by another plugin/theme, or something else?
Hi @kuppj00,
Not a problem – glad I could help and get it working for you.If you like BNFW and the support, please feel free to leave an honest review.
Hi @realact,
I’ve now revised the plugin to allow for PHP 7.4+ again. Please feel free to leave your own review of the plugin, should you wish, and find it useful.
All the best to you both.
Hi @kuppj00,
I’ve just released a new version of the plugin which seems to now allow it to be installed via the WP Admin.
Please try this and let me know how you get on.Closing due to inactivity. If you need further help with this, please feel free to re-open this thread.

Hi @krishna2390,
Thanks for your message. You should be able to just add the notification you wish to customise and then add some HTML and CSS to change the message body.
Is this what you’re referring to?
If not, can you tell me which notification you’re looking to customise?Hi @krishna2390,
Thanks for your message. Are you able to click ‘Check again’ link in your WP Admin > Dashboard > Updates to see if it allows you to update afterwards?
If not, can you re-download the plugin from this site and re-upload it via WP Admin > Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin.
It should then fix the issue but let me know if you’re still running into issues.Hi @kuppj00 @sitebites,

I’m not sure why this should be as the requirements to satisfy an upgrade from 1.9.3 to 1.9.6 should have been met.Can you tell me the exact version of PHP 7.4 you’re using according to WP Admin > Tools > Site Health > Info > Server?
