In reply to: RSS feed won’t validateSee? THIS is why I love WordPress and these forums. Timely responses and useful information. Thanks Otto, I dropped in a fresh copy of wp-rss2.php and the feed came to life. I really appreciate it.
I did find something kind of funny, though. As you mentioned, I did screw up wp-rss2.php when I was trying to correct the capitalization problem in wfw:commentRSS (changing it to wfw:commentRss). Now, Feed Validator tells me my feed is valid (and it does work, which is sweet) but that original capitalization problem might cause problems for some users. Should I be concerned?

In reply to: EXIF data extraction?I checked with my host and, sadly, they don’t have EXIF compiled with PHP on their servers. So it looks like I may be stuck for the time being. I’m wondering if you could do the same thing with javascript, though. Any thoughts on that?

In reply to: EXIF data extraction?jhead looks like it might work, and I’ve found a little bit of documentation for it on the net. What’s the best way to use it though? I’m not that great with PHP. Is there a way to use jhead (or any other exif script) by itself with WP, or will I need to integrate with something like Picasa? I guess ideally I’d just like a script I can run and output the EXIF data on my index.php. Is that even possible?

In reply to: My Photoblog with a new design.I really dig your new theme. Any chance you can tell me how you’re displaying the EXIF data? I’m trying to do the same thing for my photoblog.

In reply to: I understand template tags, but I’m unfamiliar with THIS code…Forgot something again. This template uses the “custom posts per page” plugin. Not sure if that helps or not. Cheers.

In reply to: I understand template tags, but I’m unfamiliar with THIS code…No, I don’t have a single.php file. I think I can guess what you’re getting at, but the problem is that the template’s author is using some specialized code to govern what displays and what doesn’t. I wouldn’t know what code to throw into a single.php in order to obtain my goal. Does it seem like my assumption is correct about that strange code above <div class=”posted”>?

In reply to: I understand template tags, but I’m unfamiliar with THIS code…Oh, and I forgot to post which theme I’m using. It’s Simple T. Taly is the author. You can find it if you google it. Thanks again.

In reply to: How do I make archives display titles/excerpts only?I shall try it. I was wondering if it had something to do with the absence of that file… Thanks.

In reply to: How do I make archives display titles/excerpts only?P.S. I’m not using the default theme. I’m using something that has no archives.php file. (Or at least not one that gets displayed in the theme editor).

In reply to: Strange Header Image ProblemNEVERMIND. Forgot to uncomment the code relating to personalheader.jpg. I apologize for wasting your time and lowering the collective intelligence level on this forum. Cheers!

In reply to: Strange Header Image ProblemI see the commented instructions in header.php, and if I’m hearing bestfoot correctly, replacing kubrickheader.jpg with an image of similar size should simply swap the two images. And as far as I can tell, that’s what’s happened. I can’t find any code defining the header’s overlaying rounded-rectangle or tagline in the header.php, however. If you’d like a visual to better understand the problem, please view the weblog in question here: https://volleybum.com/outdoors Note how my custom header image is hidden. How do I fix this?
