How to get any support to Wordfence? I am using the paid version, I really would like to get some support here!!

I keep blocking huge IP ranges from where the attacks happen, but Wordfence does not work as expected. It shows the certain IP ranges blocked, but the requests still cause high load on my server until it crashes.

How is this even possible?

They fire from many IPs, and it is NOT POSSIBLE to block them on IP level (because of that), but Wordfence shows always the same name for the bot:

facebookexternalhit/1.1 (+https://www.facebook.com/externalhit_uatext.php)

Why is Wordfence not capable of blocking this completely?

I also miss a useful setting for request limitations. I can limit a bot to a value per minute, but this is not good enough. When I set the limit to 10 per minute, it still means they can send 10 requests within 1/10 of a second, which is too much, specially since they use many IPs, probably 100s of different IPs.

It turns out that Wordfence is completely useless to help with these Facebook attacks!! The question is, which other tool provides a better protection and better blocking against attacks like that?

I don’t remember to have asked for a business advice. Which I wouldn’t do after running several successful businesses since 1991 either. When I ask for the time I am not expecting someone to recommend me buying a watch. Maybe someone else (a non-weisenheimer) has a better idea for me (than to hire another accountant) to make for example daily, weekly monthly profits visible in WooCommerce reports? Just like sales, inventory and taxes are shown in the WooCommerce reports? Booster for WC only shows the profit per order, but has no statistics for a chosen period.

I actually need WPML; there is obviously no alternative for my needs (yet).

When WPML support sends me an email from a NOREPLY address, and ask me to add credentials to the open ticket, but the ticket will not let me add these information, not even add me just something else so I could reply to the support, than I am locked out. I had to open a new ticket to be able to reestablish communication with the support team. When a website shows me a form with some radio buttons, and I am not able to check them, than I am sure it’s not my Windows 10 or my Fireforx AND Chrome browser, failing all together.

Oh… of course, sorry. I did it in a rush and did not realize the nonsense Windows notepad does. Now I used Notepad++, and it works fine.

Hopefully there is a fix, otherwise I must switch back to the AMP plugin I used before I switched to AMP for WordPress. I can’t risk to lose my ranking and to have my AMP pages kicked out of the Google index.

This forum seems not to have any option to add a picture…? Therefore, I am unable to send a screenshot of Google’s Issue Detail Page.

It was an easy fix in my case – and actually our own fault. Before we installed the discount plugin, we had “wholesale pricing” I guess in the Booster Tools activated. After installing the discount plugin, we did not deactivate the Booster settings.

The theme support already offered me to deliver a child template which should fix the problem. Unfortunately, the 1st attempt was not successful. Will see what the next attempt brings.

I really have no idea why they added their own product description field, instead of using the available one. Many plugins have a problem finding any content on my product pages, like for example Yoast, or plugins I am using for PDF Catalog Generation, XML Sitemaps, Facebook Products Stream etc.

Thanks for the provided help, I will try it on a staging page. For now, I switched back to WC 3.2.6 and an older theme version.

Sitenote: “class-wc-regenerate-images.php” seems to be part of WooCommerce since version 3.3.0; it is obviously not part of 3.2.6

After I rolled back to 3.2.6, I have at least full access my website again.

I found the issue with the double discount. It was a setting in a different plugin.
