Changing the look, yes, but is changing the CSS a good way to control content?

I think I might have not explained what I wanted to do correctly.
I want the content of the right column on my weblog to be different when the page for a permalink is opened.
As opposed to the right column having the same content as on the main index page.

Could you post the line of code yu use, sushubh? I’m using the above line and the apostrophe gets messed up. The + signs dont get added either.

Have you noticed that this code messes up the search when the Post Title has characters like an apostrophe?
There must be a way to encode the title to be separated with a character like ‘+’ and strip off all other punctuation.
Could some post a way to do that?
