PPS – I have updated the shortcode on the related page so that only upcoming shows are displayed, but this doesn’t address the problem of being unable to delete past shows and obsolete venues.

PS – the inability to delete shows means that I am also unable to delete a related venue. The one posted is still active but some of the venues in my database are now defunct so need to remove them from the list.

Thanks Angelo, I tried that using various permutations of username and name plus tried changing owner to author but all produced the same result – a list of all the events with pagination instead of just the individual author/owners events ??

I have the same problem which occurs when submitting an ordinary event and when I am adding it while logged in as admin so hope this is sorted out in the next update as it also prevents the creation of the event if attempting to add a new location. The location is created as ‘pending’ and have to go to the locations section to approve it then back to the listing to publish it.

Also not part of support – but had a similar issue when first setting up the Google Map – it had nothing to do with WordPress or the plugin – had similar error messages as shown by Robswaimea. Turned out it was an issue with the Google Map end not being set up properly – since they changed their system, it has been a nightmare to sort out and I ended up by getting a tech friend to do it for me so can’t even advise you on what to do – but I would start there.

Thanks for the responses – in answer to your questions

The error occurs when adding a new location and when using autocomplete to add an existing location – haven’t had to add an event without a location so no idea if it happens then as well. I always use the admin backend to add events – it is possible to add events from the front end but i haven’t tested that since the issue started as so used to do the adding via backend that i forget the frontend completely!

I am not using multisite so no global modes

No idea how to disable anything in PHP – that is down to my server tech friend – who is normally pretty hot on turning anything that even hints at being a security risk so surprised if that is turned on but will mention it to him.

Marcus – the forum here is showing you as the/a plugin author – if you are not then not sure how to report this to the plugin author – thought this was the support forum for the free version and it states on their site that they only provide support via the forums ??

Thanks for the responses, unfortunately this is a working site and unable to turn all the plugins off and change the theme as afraid to lose everything!

I am running events manager Version 4.9.4

Everything worked fine up until the last version upgrade

I have not seen any other PHP notices or errors – only when an event is added – I am not getting any errors or problems with any other plugin or the theme – only this one and only since the last time the events manager plugin was upgraded.

I have no idea how to disable the display_errors php setting and the errors aren’t preventing the site from working – only get them when the Publish button is clicked to add an event.

The way I read it is that the API will fail or be refused completely which is why so concerned. I received emails for each country that I am not registered as an affiliate for and which there are no affiliate ID’s entered into the Amazon Link plugin fields.

I have not had warnings emails for the countries I am affiliated to that include valid ID’s in the plugin – the email indicates that the API ID’s must match the affiliate email address so guessing that can’t even use your ID’s?

I am considering ditching all but UK and USA as the other countries don’t earn anything and had another email stating that Amazon are changing their requirements and affiliates must start earning within 6 months.
