In reply to: Mapping Works With 1st Network setup but not any additional. They are all under the same account in ‘Plesk’.
I use Media Temple’s DV service.
I have 3 separate multi-site networks. All of the domains are in the same location however.
The 3 parent domains of each network setup point to a physical folder on the host, while the other domains have the no hosting option.
I point the domains to Media Temple from our registrar and then in Media Temple’s control panel, I add the domains and point them at our DV Server. I then go into Plesk and add the domains there as well.
Thanks!
Ok, I think I have a better way to explain this and a more concrete question.
I have a Dedicated Virtual account with 1 main network (multi-site) setup and 2 additional. The main domain associated with the entire account on the webhost is the parent site on this main network.
All of the mapping on this network works wonderfully!
It’s just on the other 2 separate multi-site installs that I have an issue with. I get mapping installed, I can set all the settings without a problem. What happens however, is when I map a custom domain to a subsite, it takes me to the website that’s associated with the account, which happens to be the parent domain of the first network (multi-site) that I set up on the host.
So my question would be, where am I going wrong where only 1 network, the one with the site that’s associated with the account can only map domains but any other multi-site setup after that, it doesn’t map correctly and re-directs the custom url to the main website on the host?
I hope that explains it better, any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
