I am noticing the same thing with my posts –
When I post my own photo images in my blog, and read them in my gmail/ipads/iphones the same thing happens – they have oriented back to the original photo even though they have been ‘edited’ prior to uploading and inserting and as you say checked through the preview app……….
This does not happen though when reading the post on a full screen, say on a PC
Very frustrating
