The visual editor tool bar is also gone.

I have faced this problem once. and the editor was not there the caused behind this was a jquery plugin. Please remove your plugin one by one and see the diffrenec.

I think you should create two classes and more if you want. then you should call the classes into the tab attribute according to the time of the day.
Example.
into css file
.c1{
background-color:red;
}
.c2{
background-color:green;
}
.c3{
background-color:blue;
}

after written this you should open your template file
I telling you if your header tag is a div
