In reply to: [Lightbox with PhotoSwipe] Captions show on some photos but not allFor yours or anyone else’s information, I am on Cloudflare and thought it may be a caching issue. But I fixed the issue instead by not pulling through captions but alt tags instead, using your settings in the backend. It now works on 100% of the images.

In reply to: [Post Comments as bbPress Topics] Cannot connect page or post to forum topicHmm. Same problem again. Some topics just won’t save when pasting in the forum topic slug or won’t create a new topic, even with animations turned off in the theme. Whereas, other topics work right away. If I had to guess what the issue is, I think it might be server cache. My site is hosted on HostGator. Does anyone else experienced this problem on Hostgator? Why do I think it is server cache? I noticed a similar problem with other sites on WP Engine and theme settings. They switched to using Cloudflare and now many times I choose different theme settings and it won’t save until I delete server cache. So the CDN creates issues with changing deep settings IMO. I will look into HostGator’s control panel and see if there is an empty cache option.

In reply to: [Post Comments as bbPress Topics] Cannot connect page or post to forum topicFigured out the problem. I disabled all animations in my WordPress theme (KLEO). Works like a charm now. I did like the animations, but this plugin is more important for me. Perhaps a jQuery conflict?

In reply to: [Post Comments as bbPress Topics] Cannot connect page or post to forum topicI didn’t realise that I could download older versions of the plugin. I’m thinking of using a version pre Gutenberg and also disabling Gutenberg on the site and return to the Classic Editor. Your plugin worked best for me before Gutenberg. So a question.
If I delete the current plugin, I know page / posts topics connections will stop and the Comment box will appear. But is this info still in the database? So when I install an older version of the plugin, the relevant topics will reappear as the comments section once again.
Actually, you can reorder products just using WooCommerce.

Yes, I have this issue too.
The main site menu order changes when you use this plugin.
For now, I have had to disable the plugin. Is there another plugin that does what this one does, but doesn’t affect the main site menu?

Yes that fixed it. It also got rid of an error message appearing at the top of the CMS.
I tested it and it creates the associated topic. But not perfect. It works without me using the jQuery Manager for WordPress plugin which I am very happy about. But the topic is not created when publishing the post. Only when I update the post after that. But the core functionality is there and my site is back. I appreciate your time with this. I would be happy to help out with this plugin if your time is limited. I could test out any changes for you as this helps me because I have 2 websites that use this plugin.I copied the code from the previous version 1.9.2, then made those 2 changes myself (.attr to .prop) and it works for me. Version 1.9.3 has a problem on line 72 I think it was. It was about the topic slug. BBTS.
It broke my site. Renamed plugin using FTP. Site back. Plugin will not activate.
Message read:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”It would be great to get this sorted. To make this plugin work I have been forced to use Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin which is used to support outdated plugins and themes by using older jQuery code. And it never works first time upon publishing a post. But if I update multiple times, eventually a topic in BBPress is created.
How will we know when this is fixed?
Here’s a post about WordPress 5.5 breaking a lot of plugins because of jQuery.
https://wordpressdave.com/plugins/why-wordpress-5-5-broke-your-site-and-how-to-fix-it/I should also mention that while it works with Block Editor for me, I also had to install Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. This plugin allows the site to use the old version of jQuery 1.12.5 which I’m guessing this plugin originally used. If I disable this plugin or set the plugin to use the default version of jQuery, then the bbPress Topics for Posts stops working.
To recap. It works for me because:
1) I disabled Classic Editor and use the now default Block Editor.
2) I installed a plugin called Enable jQuery Migrate Helper and had to set it to use Legacy jQuery 1.12.5.Yes, this happened to me too.
I wasn’t using Block Editor. Instead I was using Classical Editor. I disabled Classic Editor to see how the plugin would go. It didn’t immediately work, (perhaps some cache issues) but it works now. The BBPress forums still use Classic editor though which is important, and now my blog posts reluctantly use Block Editor for the sole purpose of making this plugin work.
Would be nice if this plugin worked with Classical Editor.
I have the same problem but am not using Elementor but WP Bakery with K Elements. I was able to fix it by manipulating the time of the posts to get the order changed. Must be a bug.
