Yesterday, I did some more changes to the database, and was back to the “You need to install”….”Already installed…” trick.

Waiting now to see if this goes away again within a 24 hour period, or perhaps there was something else that I did to trigger that to stop?

Rather puzzling…. I’ve installed wp several times now, but I believe this is the first time I’ve tried to restore a db.

Just in case someone else experiences this, here’s what ended up being my problem. The new host that my blog is on has proved to be a bit different than what I’ve used before. On several occasions now there have been issues associated with the time involved for the system to resolve. I’m not terribly versed at these things, and that terminology may be wrong, but the gist of it is, over night the problem resolved itself.

But now there’s another issue. First, it didn’t recognize the password, but it did allow me to reset it.

The second issue most likely warrants another thread…. unless I can find it in a search.
