Oh I see! Image Collections is such a generic name that it didn’t occur to me that this might be a plugin. Anyway, that fixed the issue, I’m into the back-end, and the site is now working. Thanks a lot!

@nekojonez Well, that’s gotten me halfway there; I’ve removed the Cyclone Slider error via the method you suggested above, and the site is back online. So thank you.

However, I still can’t login to the back end. This is the message I receive when I attempt to do so:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /homepages/32/d362250558/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/image-collections/includes/content-bldrs.php on line 143

Fatal error: Exception thrown without a stack frame in Unknown on line 0

Presumably another plugin is causing this error, but I can’t work out which. Any ideas?

Not sure if it’s the same plugin that’s stopping me from logging in or not, but will cross that bridge once I get to it.

Had the same problem: email re. update (in my case to WP 4.2.19), then site offline.

However, in the time it’s taken me to sign up to write this post, the site is back online again. Hopefully your other ones will return shortly too.
