In reply to: [WP Pipes] Extract a link from the enclosures array? Thanks very much!
I’ve purchased the HTML Parser add on and I’ve begun figuring out how to set it up. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

In reply to: Paging with multiple loops in indexDitto smoothman, I’m trying to accomplish nearly the exact same thing and would love to take a look at your code.
Thank you in advance
Okay, then I clearly have something set up incorrectly. Whenever I sort by date and select ‘ascending’ it does have the newer post first, but its displaying posts from 8 months ago so the very first post in the category is at the bottom and the fifth most recent after that is at the top.
I suppose if I went back and removed all those entries from the category and only had five posts being fed into the slideshow at anytime that would work. Is that the correct way for setting this up or am I missing something?
Thanks again Jeff
Thanks for the info, I’ll investigate using the modification date as a temporary workaround.
I have no idea how much of an undertaking it would be but, as a feature request, I’d love to have the plugin work exactly as it does now (sorting a category by date in descending order) but just with the most recent post at the top of the stack instead of the bottom. That would allow us to completely automate the integration of the plugin into our site.
Thanks again for all your help.

In reply to: [Plugin: Frontpage-Slideshow] ‘About Default Link’ setting will not saveHi Jeff,
A quick follow up. I recently had this problem pop up again on my site and after playing with things for a bit I discovered that, for whatever reason, when I switched the sort order setting from ‘date’ — ‘descending’ to ‘date’ — ‘ascending’ and then back again, this unfroze the default link selection and I was able to reselect ‘If no link is specified: Don’t use the slide url.’
Just wanted to let you know.
Thank you so much Jeff, you are an absolute life saver!

In reply to: [Plugin: Frontpage-Slideshow] ‘About Default Link’ setting will not saveI setup the plugin on my live site and its working perfectly. I’m not sure why this particular function doesn’t work with my local WP install, but happily its no longer an issue.
For your troubleshooting: there were no javascript errors on the admin page or the index.

In reply to: [Plugin: Frontpage-Slideshow] ‘About Default Link’ setting will not saveHi Jeff,
To answer your question, no the slideshow does not link to any of the posts being displayed, it just links back to:
#frontpage-slideshow
I’ve tested all the other available options in the Admin settings for the plugin, and this is the only one that doesn’t work. The workaround I’m using at the moment is to copy and paste the permalink for the post into the Slide Link field in the Edit Post screen, which does work; it would just be great to save the extra step.
Thanks for the quick reply.
