yes, right site (supposed not to post direct url)
maybe you faced some hosting problem, lightbox is always enabled and available on mobile too

please check one more time, for me it’s working fine at the moment (except size and scrolling problem when gallery is turned on)

    thanks for the answer!
    example https://vk.cc/cvV5dI

I tried set margin to 20 and window width/height to 1200 but still have rather little preview. My images are 1440*1080 or 1280 but you can check the size of lightbox(

other problem is using a gallery view, when I can click through all images in the post, if this option is enabled I can navigate BUT cant zoom any picture on mobile device, trying to pitch and zoom causes next image loading

i’m using fancybox v2, tried others and have no luck

any description for this option anywhere?

that’s why I’ve chosen another plugin, yours, in fact, isn’t so simple as is called ??

I saw this documentation, but it’s rather difficult way.

For example I have WP page with built-in google docs sheet. It’s an iframe, pasted right into the page code in WP editor. If I want to add a link “enlarge” using your lightbox I can’t do it right here in editor.

With some other plugin (not updated for ages unfortunately) the way was much easier:

    1. enable secondary lightbox option in plugin settings;
    2. add “class=abcdefg” to my link I wanna open in LB

And that’s it, right in WP console and post editor + any customization for secondary LB (not for photos), may be you should add smth like that in your plugin ??

Sorry, I’ve deleted this plugin, but if you have like 50 photos in the post and user clicks through it, somewhere at 25-th photo he may decide to go to previous page, not closing the lightbox and..

Imho, when you press back button in browser you expect going to the previous page, not previous photo.

Also I’m not sure but it seems to me I saw this even with closed LB, back button do nothing in this case.

    Thanks for your answer!

While WP can’t work with ALTs properly, having some buttons like “copy alt texts from/to ML” right in the editor or in the post list would be great ??

*Fixit plugin does its job but you have to open it and enter post ID

    Having same problem. 5.4.2

Used old wp version for a while (since 2015), filled only titles leaving alt field empty. Titles were nicely shown by Lightbox/Colorbox. Updated… ??

With plugin enabled I got 1 alt and 2 titles (two title attributes in one img tag) for every photo in a gallery, all are same as POST title. Changing schema to %name works, it makes alt and one of two title change to filename (not what I want, but plugin works somehow I mean).

For single images (not in gallery) first title is taken from media library, alt and second title are same as POST title while overwrite is enabled and set to %media_title.

Hello David! I have a question not related to your plugin, sorry, but it’s about WP titles.

I used to fill titles since 2015, leaving alt empty. Why? Inserting photos like DCIM_1234_01_02_2015.jpg automatically put this filename to “title” field. So I just changed this name to some relevant text AND it did show up in Lightbox/Colorbox when users open full-screen image.

Now I’ve updated) Gutenberg… It has problems. But. All my old posts, made in classical editor, now shows same POST TITLES instead of title from medialibrary.

    * only galleries, single images in old posts kept title for some reason

I mean that before update users could see some additional info about every photo – my title description. Now it is not showed.

I think I should transfer this title to alt field somehow. But what is the right way to do this? I have thousands of photos, need some bulk method.

Can you please give me advice? Thanks in advance

Also you have no way to change the alt in Gutenberg gallery, wow

There is such a field in sidebar for a single image but not for the image in the gallery! So you can change it only in code editor or delete gallery and paste it again

Why did I updated my blog… hate “these new cool features” ??

5.4.2 with classic editor plugin now works that way:

    1. Galleries take alt from ML;
    2. Single images not

In some old WP 4.* single images used to take alt from ML too.

Is there any way/hook to make WP 5.* do it again?

*Gutenberg galleries don’t take alt from ML(

But the alt tag actually lives in the post itself. Changing it in the media library will not retroactively change it in all the posts that you use the image in.

And this is not the way it used to be in classic editor! Another Gutenberg bug.

For example, I write a post. Drag and drop 1 image, second, third, have 50 of them. Empty alt in Media Library, empty alt it Gutenbrg editor.

AND! Now I have to change alt text twice! Because new editor doesn’t see updated alt from medialibrary and medialibrary doesn’t get alt set in Gutenberg.

Yeap, you can edit only in Gutenberg. Ok. And now you want to search file in library by.. alt of course, you don’t remember right filename… And you find nothing.

Old classic editor used to take alt/title from media library, you update info in ML – it updates in each post, having this image. With Gutenberg…

    * alt is important not only for SEO and searching, it’s lightbox/colorbox caption.. it WAS useful and convenient before f Gutenberg

link icon works, I know, but all my blog consists of images and annotations, every pic can be zoomed in so I have to click link-mediafile each time I add one image. One post can be 50 images…
