In reply to: size post title….i honestly have no clue what caused the Change and am now trying to find a fix by making modifications to the child theme. i have no old copy of previous parent theme css, so i could not even compare what is now different.
or in other words: i am a bit lost ??
hi mattyrob – thank you for your quick reply and for spending your time to help non-IT-gurus like me….
so basically the subscribe2 plugin does not create the time intervals but just uses the ones that the wordpress blog has?
could it be that an update of subscribe2 created a second set of intervals, as i have no different plugin dealing with intervals and really did not change anything except for updating the plugin and updating to the latest WP.
but if it does not create a problem i will just ignore it ??i will monitor if people are still not receiving emails or maybe that was just a few times and happened to be coinciding with the problem described above. but that then might be a different problem…
thank you again, greetings, jp
hi andy – the update to your latest version has the plugin working like a charm again! thank you for your help and super fast response!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] sidebar widget not showing next eventshi andy and barry –
i dared to do as described above and deactivated all plugins and changed the theme. and i did find what is causing the problem:
when i have the “The Events Calendar Category Colors” plugin deactivated, all works as before. well, minus the colors of course… when i reactivate it, the problem shows up again. so i have it deactivated for the moment.hope that might help you to find the problem. thank you again for your time and efforts!

thank you for the reply and your suggestions on how to find the problem…
a quick dummies question before i start to deativate the plugins and reverting to a defualt theme: after having spent many days tweaking the page so it looks and works like i like it to, would i risk loosing any functionality (eg in the theme, as not all changes are made in a child theme…) when i do what you had suggested?thank you for your patientence with the non IT folks like me ??

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Large Fonts In Widgethi andy . thank you so much for your time and answer.
actually the code did work fine in the original style.css – all except for the distance between the lines. but that indeed now worked great with the child theme. so looks much better now ??
one more question: is there a way to add some extra space between the last date and the “view all events” line? it seems to be linked to the “normal” distance between the other dates. but i would like to have the normal space minimal, and the view-all one a bit larger…
thank you again for your help, greetings, jpForum: Plugins
In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Large Fonts In Widgetdear all – you put together a wonderful and really helpful thread. thank you so much. one question i still have and cannot seem to figure out the solution: how can i reduce the amount of empty space between two dates in widget? on my website troop324.de there is lots of space (between black letters of the date and time and red letters of the next title for event). on the website mentioned at the beginning of this thread https://exitrowband.com/ there seems to be less. what did i miss? any help is greatly appreciated!
greetings from germany, jpmhhh – sorry for coming back with another challenge: so i had moved the whole subscrib e and unsubscribe to a dedicated page. worked like a charm… but then i cleaned up the widget sidebar because i did not need it anymore. and now the process on the page does not work anymore. but the widget back on the sidebar, page works again. any clue what i might b doing wrong? maybe the link to the page (work in progress) helps?

thanks, jenshi – well, i now created a new page for folks to subscribe and unsubscribe, moving the function out of the sidebar. that actually looks good on a dedicated page and no need to fiddle around with the buttons anymore. so thank you for inspiring me to this idea ??
hi mattyrob – thank you for the answer and all the other answers i have discovered you giving to clueless folks like me…
but i am still puzzled: i have again googled alot as i am really not knowledgable on wordpress. so it looks like the file i should cahnge is class-s2-frontend.php
is that correct?
then i seems like i should do the css wrapping soemwhere close to line 60? correct?
but what is it that i will wrap?
all the other examples on the web that i can find of other people dealing with the same problem show code that does not show up in my installation (Version 8.9.1 and widget 1.1)
i would reaaaaallly aprecaite your help on this again. thank you, jens
