The plugin uses the built-in Post Tags taxonomy. Therefore, when you visit the Post Tags taxonomy on your site, the Events assigned to that tag are showing up.

When you say the tags do not work, what do you mean by this? Do you get any errors? Let us know.

I’m sorry that is happening for you. It sounds like a theme issue, so you should try switching to a default theme and see if it still happens.

I recommend you go through the troubleshooting guide and see if if you find anything.

I’m sorry your having that issue. That seems strange though.

Where are you seeing those other plugins you mention? Have you tried switching to a default theme like twentyseventeen?

You should also go through the troubleshooting guide and see if you find anything.

Each event category has its own url like this > yoursite.com/events/category/music
So that will only show the events that have the “music” category assigned to them.
With that in mind, you can create links to those different category pages from anywhere in your site. Does this help?

It’s not possible to add a tag or category to the main events page. But if you want to show a widget you should be able to, depending on your theme.
