In reply to: [WP Quadratum] Still cant change the straplineHi Again Gary,
I was about to follow your directions above when I received this email from Foursquare. Here’s an excerpt:
“Starting on June 1, 2014, API requests using versions 20120609 and lower will no longer be supported, and these requests will be rejected.”
Their email is related my site’s use of your WP Quadratum plugin. Will you be updating it? Let me know if you’d like me to paste the whole content of their email here.
Best,
Vivek

In reply to: [Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters] Public Subscriber Count?@ mattyrob
Thanks a bunch. When I made the changes within Widget Settings, they did not always seem to stick, and I often got an error message when I tried to save the new settings – something like “Text field must have no more than 6 characters.” if I recall correctly. I was however able to show the number of subscribers as I now have them (see my About page) by clicking Plugins > Installed Plugins > Subscribe2 > edit > counterwidget.php and then made some careful edits.
Now, where I show “2 Subscribers” I would love to add some code that also shows something like “88 Days” and “17 Posts” etc. if that’s possible to do. I am hoping it requires just duping and revising a section of the counterwidget.php file. But if its more complicated and you advise against it, I totally understand.
Thanks again for a great plugin!
Vivek

In reply to: [Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters] Public Subscriber Count? Thanks for your post. Yes, I was about to post back here that I found it through trial and error, but how can I remove the rectangle around the “2” and add “Subscribers” as a text string right after the number. I’m not very good at deciphering code yet. Vivek

In reply to: [Author Bio Box] making social icons biggerHi Claudio,
I just installed your SCP widget. I currently just have it doing a Twitter count and Post count : https://blog.rblock.com
Can it count how many email addresses have subscribed to my blog? I thought the Subscribe2 widget I installed a few days ago could do this, but it does not appear to. If your widget also cant do this, I’d sure be grateful for any recommendation you might have.
Thanks a lot,
Vivek
This describes in a little more detail what I’m trying to do:

Hi Janjonas,
Thanks for clarifying this. I think what I’m looking for must be needed by everyone. Basically a way for all the pages of my WP.org site (not just the blog page) to update when a subscriber (I’m using the Subscribe2 plugin) receives an email notification due to a new blog entry I’ve written.
If you have any suggestions on how best to do this, I’d be very grateful to know.
Thanks again,
Vivek
Hi Jan, Vaughan and Christian,
Hope it’s OK to jump in here. Do any of you know the best way I can have my blog page auto-refresh each time a subscriber clicks through to it? Here’s my recent post about this:

Many thanks indeed,
Vivek

In reply to: [Plugin: Subscribe2] Remove line above Email AddressSolved it. I had only removed the text string from one of two places. But it was located in an IF/ELSE condition, so when I removed it from both the IF side and the ELSE side, it no longer appeared on the page.

In reply to: [Plugin: Subscribe2] Remove line above Email AddressI found the “Your email:” text string in this php file below and edited it out. But it did not remove it because the file is inactive.
Editing subscribe2/classes/class-s2-frontend.php (inactive)
Hoping someone has an answer,
Thanks!

In reply to: [Plugin: Subscribe2] Need auto page refresh for blogCan anyone help with my issue? Perhaps there is no good way to make a blog page auto refresh when a visitor hits it from clicking a link generated by a Subscribe2 plugin setting. But I hope there is.
Thanks,
Vivek

In reply to: How can I right-align my contact details?Hi psa234,
Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with CSS. Once I get the basic content onto the various links I have, I will definitely focus on learning some CSS. If you can point me to any good links on Responsive Styling, that would be great, thanks.

In reply to: How can I right-align my contact details?Hi Cyril,
I’ve removed it because it did not render properly on my iPhone, so that’s something else I need to figure out. I’ll keep at it.
Best,
Vivek
