In reply to: RSS FeedsSwansonPhotos,
Thank you for the input, but Codex and FeedBurner leave lots of unanswered questions.
It says RSS is built in, so it appears that FeedBurner is not a requirement and posts, comments, and other info will find its way on line regardless? What if I’d rather not?
Also, our site will be mostly pages, not posts. WordPress has plugins to transmit pages to FeedBurner, but there are no controls to to limit which pages are fed. What if we want to exclude some pages?
Looks like I have lots to learn, but do appreciate your input.
V.

In reply to: Password Plugin QuestionThank you for the tip miklb! … I’m brain dead tonight.
All the sites I’d mentioned use the https format.
Guess I’ll have to check with our host for SSL admin requirements and find work up some kind of Log In widget that works in this fashion.
I’m way over my head here, but I do appreciate your guidance.ThanX

In reply to: Unique destination passwordsThank you for the speedy response. My intent is from a common “client log-in page”, take each individual client to his own personal index page from which he could access either HTML pages, PDF files, and video files unique to his account. In other words, a secure, private library for each client accessible from his personal index page which would be accessible from a common log-in page.
I could do as you suggest and give each client access to his unique index page URL, but that’s not too classy.

In reply to: Unique destination passwordsWant only Client #1 on a “log-in” page within the site to be able to access pages exclusive to Client #1….
Guess I haven’t studied the password protocol… Is there a “step-by-step” guide for this somewhere??
